Raphael’s role in the Bible appears exclusively in the Old Testament story of Tobit. Raphael guides Tobit's son, Tobiah, through a series of incredible adventures that ultimately result in a threefold happy conclusion: Tobiah's marriage to Sarah, the miraculous healing of Tobit's blindness, and the restoration of the family's fortune. Raphael's role as a guide and healer showcases the diverse attributes of angels. The memorials of Gabriel and Raphael were added to the Roman calendar in 1921, a recognition of their importance in Christian tradition. These angels, Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, hold a special place in the hearts of believers and serve as messengers and protectors, exemplifying the profound spiritual connection between heaven and Earth. Their stories continue to inspire and uplift those who seek divine guidance and protection in their lives.
